here i have my screen shoots of my builing of the school magazine . in the end i ended up with 2 covers . this is cause once i designed the first ones i didnt think that id was visualy smooth and didnt think that the conventions looked right . i decide to show my step by step so that i can see how the magazine came together . this also helps to show where i have ajusted parts and this helps for when i come to do my final cover for a musc magazine cause i have a guide
you can see that i started with the tittle of my college on my design then i worked out the best arrgangemnet for the layout so that it was clear . i chose to have all the over article in a colum on the left hand side due to the fact we read left to right and cause that way it left loads of room for a central images . i tried to make the cover visual but also esay to reaad so that it appeales to all audince members . also as my target audiences in 11-18 year olds having a simplitic layout seemed the best idea so that it appleas every age.i have chosen to use diffret styles of text so that the articles stand off the page .
I like the way that you show us the process of construction. Did you have a flat plan? If so, please add it to your post. How did you decide upon the title? Was it from student research (please post up any student research you did so that we can see you your responded to the needs of the target audience)The cover is certainly eye catching and I like the use of graphics. However some of these images have become a bit distorted when resized - you will need to watch out for this on the music mag. What resolution were the files to start with? Did you take them on a good quality camera? I would also say that the Bodmin logo should be more prominent as it is the anchor for the text. The teasers are relevant and would engage the target audience.
